Digital Marketing Strategy

I am a digital marketing specialist with over 20 years of experience building integrated strategies that help businesses grow online. I’ve worked with established companies as well as startups and entrepreneurs – who are active in both B2B and B2C segments.

My background is in marketing communications and computer engineering. By combining knowledge of commercial and technical domains, I have developed a strong foundation for building strategic full-stack digital marketing.

Some of the digital marketing services I can help you with are:

  • Search Engine Optimization (Semantic / Entity SEO and AI Search Visibility)
  • Web Analytics and Tracking (Google Analytics / Matomo Analytics / Server-Side Tracking)
  • AI-powered Marketing Automation (Email marketing / Marketing Process Automation)
  • Paid traffic Campaigns / Search Engine Marketing (Google Ads / Bing Ads / LinkedIn Ads / Reddit Ads)
  • Conversion rate optimization (CRO) for lead generation and eCommerce conversions
  • Implementing AI-powered Processes into your Marketing Organization

My Approach

Building and implementing an effective Digital marketing strategy is multifaceted. To compete, it’s necessary to leverage the right channels, connect with the right audience, and communicate your objective(s) effectively. To accomplish this, you have to work systematically and be creative.  Additionally, each business and every industry has its own unique challenges.

Generally, developing effective integrated digital marketing strategies consists of the following phases and processes:

1. Research and Assessments

Utilizing a ‘full stack’, process-based approach enables me to deliver custom solutions for a business’s specific needs. Every project starts with in-depth assessments of your current strategies and activities. The goal is to identify what’s needed to build an effective plan that includes strategies and tactics. This phase can also help to learn how existing performance can be improved.

Examples of audits I can help you with are:

  • Online Market(ing) Research – Mapping of the online market in which you are, or are seeking to be active in. Depending on the situation, research objectives can focus on: getting to know the audience, competitive analysis, entering or dominating the market, identifying the most effective channels, content marketing plans and strategies, and so on.
  • Optimization Audits – Analysis of organic traffic generation activities. Focus can be on: what is needed to gain higher ranking in search engines or AI search, technical website and content optimization, and mapping out a strategic plan for long-term visibility and organic growth.
  • Data organization and measurement  – Assessment of your web analytics, tracking, and measurement setup. Examples that come to mind are: Are you measuring the correct KPI’s? How can we start measuring the most important data points for your business? How can existing analytics and tracking be improved? Etc.

2. Integrated Digital Marketing Plan

Conclusions, concepts and ideas, based on data from research, are always documented in a structured report. This plan presents an overview of goals, ideas, conclusions, and advice, in addition to a clear explanation of the foundational base. The digital marketing plan is written in easy-to-understand language and contains guidelines for the steps needed to achieve your objectives.

Depending on your demands, digital marketing plans consist of all or modular parts, including a:

  • Digital marketing plan – strategy description and necessary activities.
  • Search Engine Optimization plan – actions needed for better optimization.
  • Traffic generation plan – advice on how to increase or improve traffic to your website.
  • Analytics & measurement plan – How to implement better measurement of data points.
  • Conversion Optimization plan – How to increase conversions (leads, sales)

3. Implementation (if applicable)

Having a great plan in place is one thing. In digital marketing, however, zero action equals no results. I can help you systematically implement your strategy by teaching you or your team how to execute tactics or if agreed to do so, execute the plan myself.

Examples of implementation are:

  • Results-focused SEO and Content marketing
  • Optimization of the Digital Marketing Organization as a whole
  • Set up and management of  paid advertising campaigns – Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Social Media Ads
  • Web Analytics and Tracking setup – Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Server Side Tracking (SST)
  • Implementing a fully tracked customer journey with relevant touchpoints and conversion-optimized funnels.
  • Training of individuals and teams, so you can become independent after my activities are phased out.
  • One-on-one or one-to-many consulting regarding your digital marketing and marketing technology questions. For example: how to implement AI automation, and/or what the benefits of implementing AI into your marketing organization.

No matter what your goals are, I always try to incorporate the following core values into my work:

Core values

  • Data-driven – Strategies and executed activities must be measurable.
  • Practical/no-nonsense – No meaningless ‘marketing fluff’, only real advice.
  • Flexibility – Strategy design to be cost-effective and have longevity.
  • Transparency – Understandable language, explanations and reporting.
